Dahlia Happy Single Princess

If you were to ask me which Dahlias bloom the most abundantly, I would certainly consider answering with the ‘Happy Single’ series. Truly a cascade of cheerful little flowers on compact plants. The key to fully enjoying them is to keep removing the spent flower heads. It’s not that if you forget once, she will act like a princess and immediately stop blooming—she will just produce slightly fewer flowers. Short and sturdy, they are excellent for planting in pots but, of course, also look beautiful in the garden. In fact, they do even better in the garden, as they are just a bit more floriferous in open soil. That’s something to keep in mind if you’re planting Dahlias in pots; they’re not the easiest bulbs for pot cultivation. A Dahlia requires a lot of nutrients and a great deal of water; they really need good care to look their best in pots.
